"When I first joined BTP I thought that I’d end up moving on to a Home Office Force as soon as I felt that I couldn’t progress any further. Now, almost 24 years later I’m still here and haven’t regretted putting my faith in BTP! BTP are one of the best kept secrets in policing, offering vast and varied opportunities for development, specialist roles and movement across England, Scotland and Wales. I’ve had the opportunity to work across the UK, in both uniformed and investigative roles and am proud to currently lead our response to Violence and Intimidation Against Women and Girls (VIAWG) – an area of policing where BTP have been recognised for our innovative and ground-breaking initiatives.  BTP are a truly caring organisation – with safeguarding the most vulnerable people in society at the forefront of all we do – from suicide prevention, to county lines and VIAWG, we strive to create a hostile environment for offenders, to reduce the likelihood of persons coming to harm. BTP aspire to be a truly inclusive organisation, with many initiatives introduced to encourage applications from a diverse pool of candidates. I have been lucky enough to work with many inspiring colleagues, who strive to do the right thing every day – why not join us?" DCI Nia MELLOR.
