An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Workplace Manager (Digital Productivity Services) to join our technology team on a permanent contract paying up to £65,783.69 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP) based at one of our hubs throughout the country.

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year.

Digital Workplace Manager - Digital Productivity Services:-

This Digital Workplace Manager role sits within the Digital Productivity Services team within Digital Workplace. It is expected that the Digital Workplace Manager will have (or rapidly work towards) the technical knowledge and skillset that is typically demonstrated by a Digital Workplace Specialist or Architect and continuously develop their skillsets in line with emerging technologies. This is a technical hands-on role and will take on a share of the team's workload, whilst also developing and nurturing the team into a highly skilled, responsive, agile and motivated team.

The Digital Productivity Services team is responsible for the technical design, development and implementation of Digital Productivity services and solutions that improve collaboration, communication, mobility, connectivity and productivity. The Digital Workplace Manager will play a key role in defining the vision and strategy of Digital Productivity Services within Digital Workplace. We have begun an exciting journey into the world of PowerApps, Power Automate and SharePoint Online and this role will be instrumental in ensuring we further develop secure and robust solutions that elevate our success in this area as well as delivering well-governed solutions that make the best use of our Microsoft 365 E5 capability.

Digital Productivity Services is a constantly evolving area and the Digital Workplace Manager will be accountable for ensuring our Digital Roadmaps are kept up to date and implemented. Projects will need to be delivered in a timely fashion so that we can offer the best technological solutions and enhancements to our employees as well as collaborate closely with our rail family and other police forces to pioneer a new generation of partnerships. Automation is a key component of productivity and the role will have the autonomy to work closely with the business to prioritise, identify, design and implement solutions that streamline business processes and add value to the business. This role therefore also acts as a 'consultant' to the business and will require excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Whilst this role sits formally within the Digital Productivity Services branch within Digital Workplace, the postholder will gain exposure across the Digital Workplace strands and may be required to step in to cover other Digital Workplace areas when required. This is applicable to all roles within Digital Workplace.

We are an avid promoter of skills development and career growth and we recognise the need to ensure skills are kept up to date with emergent technologies and new ways of working.
