An Event Planner is required for a Full Time, Permenant role paying up to £32,757.33 per annum, with the British Transport Police (BTP) based in Birmingham, Baskerville House. 

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing.

As an Event Planner you will be required to:

  • Liaise and communicate on a regular basis with Event Commanders pre/during and after the event to identify specific requirements that need to be considered in planning/running and debrief of their event
  • Ensure there is a meeting structure in place during the planning process and that the relevant parties are invited to the meetings including the Event Commander, relevant Bronze commanders and where necessary industry partners and stakeholders
  • Prepare and co-ordinate plans, Operational Orders and associated documentation for all events including football and Level 2 events across the Division to a high standard
  • Maintain liaison with Train Operating Companies, Network Rail and other railway industry businesses on behalf of the Department
  • Maintain regular liaison with the Event Planning Coordinator and Football and Field Intelligence Officers to ensure up to date intelligence is available for the Event Commanders and the plan is amended to take cognisance of live intelligence
