We are recruiting for an IT Service Delivery Analyst on a permanent contract paying up to £43,899.86 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP) based at BTP office, Baskerville House in Birmingham City Centre. 


BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year.

Role Responsibilities: To assist with the delivery of the IT Service Management processes impacting Technology including Incident, Problem, Change and Transition. The IT Service Delivery Analyst will support the ITSM function by assisting with the administration, analysis, reporting and communications required for all Service Management areas. They will also act as a conduit for Incident Management with the Service Desk, Service Delivery and Technology Support teams. The ITSM Analyst, will assist with the delivery of Problem Management by helping identify and record potential Problems and any agreed actions. They will work with the Change and Problem Manager and subsequent Technology Problem Owners to track progress and communicate any outcomes. To be involved in the management of change to the service infrastructure including service assets, configuration items and associated documentation, be it via request for change (RFC), emergency changes, incidents or problems, providing effective control and treatment of risk to the availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services impacted. Management Information Reporting is key in providing focus to and assisting our SMT with making informed decisions. A significant part of this role will be ensuring that all ITSM records are actively maintained and updated in a timely manner in order to meet MI Reporting deadlines.

BTP has undertaken a review of Police Staff pensions and as a result of this the Police Staff pension will be changing. The current police staff pension is a Defined Benefit scheme which is administered by the Railways Pension scheme. The new pension scheme which is launching is a Defined Contribution scheme which is administered by Royal London. The new pension scheme is awaiting formal approval and an introductory date is not finalised.
