British Transport Police (BTP) are recruiting for a permanent Safety, Health and Wellbeing Administrator. This role is paying £26,098.99 plus £3033.56 London Allowance (London Allowance is applicable to London-based candidates only) per annum and can be based at any of the following BTP hubs: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff or Glasgow. This role offers a blended approach of home and office-working, however, the successful candidates must be willing to travel to other BTP locations when required for business needs.

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing.

As a Safety, Health and Wellbeing Administrator, you will be required to:

  • Provide full administrative support to the Wellbeing team, including data entry, creating and maintaining files and databases.
  • Manage all internal and external correspondence and direct to the relevant team member to deal with when necessary.
  • Organise meetings and events for the team.
  • Take minutes of internal meetings.
  • Ensure that all travel, catering and hotel arrangements are booked in accordance with BTP procedures.
  • Monitor, distribute and audit office stationary and re-order stocks as required.

The successful Safety, Health and Wellbeing Administrator will be required to evidence the following:

  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience
  • High level of organisational ability
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Internal candidates must have completed their probation for their current substantive posting and can only apply in tenure if Head of Department approval is emailed to prior to the vacancy closing.
