Treasury Accountant is required for a permanent role paying up to £52,175 (inclusive of allowances) with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Camden, London
  
BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great   Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and   security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of   freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally   and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As Treasury Accountant with BTP you will assist with the development of a detailed cashflow forecasting model for the entire organisation supporting and maintaining the efficiency of the police force as a whole.


As Treasury Accountant you will be required to:


  • Develop the cashflow model and timely updates that will provide long term forecasting.
  • Manage the reconciliation of the current account on a weekly basis.
  • Support the team in the management and review of Financial Accounts.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote effective team working within the Finance and Commercial team and the wider business
  • Prepare, analyse and coordinate information for internal and external audits to ensure accurate and timely provision of information.

  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) ideally within a well-established accountancy firm
  • Experience of preparing cash flows and developing cash flow models
  • High standard of financial reporting
  • Promotes teamwork and cooperation across teams to enhance performance
  • Takes pride in ones work and demonstrates reputable work ethic
  • Display a passion in providing cashflow forecasting work
