Are you an experienced Performance Analyst looking to make a real difference to intelligence-led policing? British Transport Police (BTP) is currently recruiting for a Performance Analyst for a permanent role paying up to £28,202.23 at our Force Head Quarters in Camden, London.

  
BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a Performance Analyst you will be required to conduct high quality analytical work and deliver a high quality and timely analytical service in support of BTP's objectives and priorities.

 

Our Performance department provides a service to all areas of policing including Crime, Disruption, Confidence, Protecting Vulnerable People, Justice, HR, Research & Development and Audit & Compliance. The main point of contact for all Forcewide data returns, crime analysis trends and the recent implementation of the performance framework. As a unit they also provide strategic analysis for the Chief Officer Group and the British Transport Police Authority in order to inform decision making, highlight strategic threats and opportunities available to the Force.

 

As a Performance Analyst you will be required to:

 

  • Provide advice to management on the most effective and efficient use of resources through techniques such as results analysis and cost benefit analysis.
  • Develop analysis in conjunction with Senior and Higher Analysts and the Head of Performance and Analysis, Senior Officers, management, practitioners and external agencies.
  • Improve information sources through liaison with external agencies. Identify system and process change requirements in respect of research and analysis

The successful Performance Analyst will be required to evidence the following skills:

 

  • Investigative and intelligence-lead policing.
  • Ability to self-task and be productive under minimal supervision on occasion.
  • Previous experience of having worked as either an Analyst, Researcher or in an Intelligence Development role.
