A Contract Manager is required on a 12 Month Fixed Term contract paying Â£37,212.10 plus £2520 London Allowance if applicable with British Transport Police (BTP) based in London and/or Birmingham.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s railways. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a Contract Manager with BTP you will provide outstanding and consistent contract management to realise excellent and sustainable commercial outcomes within BTP, driving optimum contractual performance while extracting maximum efficiencies.

 

As a Contract Manager you will be required to:

  • Monitor, evaluate, direct and act on, BTP Risk register for Contract management risks
  • Organise and control Procurement / Contract Manager / Contract Owner handover process when new contracts become Business as Usual
  • Training all Contract Owners and Senior Responsible Owners in contract management (Circa 150 people)

  • Proven contract management experience (minimum of 3 years)
  • Qualified to A' Level or NVQ Level 4 and above in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (or Similar contract management related area)
  • Ability to travel for supplier site visits and provisions of training
