An Apprenticeship Levy Manager is required for an 18 month fixed term contract paying £37,212.10 plus £2520 London Allowance if applicable with British Transport Police (BTP) based in London or Birmingham.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s railways. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As an Apprenticeship Levy Manager with BTP you will work with the key business stakeholders and relevant departments and external training providers to ensure our future apprenticeship programmes are fit for purpose in terms of both business needs and the apprentice Levy.

The Apprenticeship Levy Manager will have overall responsibility for the current fund and future funding opportunities applicable to the remit of the Levy and will also be responsible for co-ordination of the management of the administration, reporting, compliance of the company's apprenticeship levy design and implementation of processes and systems.

This role will also lead on the development of a range of apprenticeship frameworks and standards across the force including the Policing Education Qualification Framework for Police officers.

As an Apprenticeship Levy Manager you will be required to:

• Lead the implementation of the Apprentice Levy strategy, including communicating the strategy, coordination of the levy steering, outputs, identifying emerging new programmes and effective engagement with the Force

• Provide consultancy, project and change management techniques and disciplines to deliver a robust fit for purpose strategy and that associated project work streams are delivered to scope, plan and budget

• Conduct internal and external benchmarking activities to support the emerging apprentice strategy and ensure programmes are designed and managed to deliver the business objectives

• Act as the central point of contact for the implementation of the apprentice levy strategy, liaising with OD, Resourcing and business stakeholders, resolving issues where appropriate

The successful Apprenticeship Levy Manager will be required to evidence the following skills:

• Ability to manage upwards, laterally and downwards

• Ability to design, cost and plan projects to maximise value

• Excellent communicator (verbally & written) with the ability to influence and persuade decision makers & self-motivated and proactive ability to work on own and to tight deadlines
