British Transport Police (BTP) have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to be based at our Force Headquarters in Camden, London on a permanent basis to specifically assist with estates moves.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The role will be responsible for the support of BTPs virtual migration project whilst also ensuring the resolution of desktop issues across the BTP estate.  

This is a challenging role which would be ideal for a desktop specialist possessing excellent coordination skills. The ideal candidate should have excellent communications skills.

Required technical experience:

  • Intel based end-user hardware
  • MS Active Directory
  • MS Office Suite 2003 and 2010
  • MS Windows Xp and 7
  • Networking concepts (incl. security, firewalls and TCP/IP)
  • Printer installations and trouble shooting
