Communication Support Engineers are required for a 12 month fixed term contracts paying up to £32,578.30 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Camden, London. 

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As a Communications Support Engineer with BTP you will be responsible for the rollout of telecom devices together including support and planning as part of our National Network Service Programme (NNS) which is refreshing our telephony estate.

As Communications Support Engineer you will be required to:

  • Offer telecom technical support to the wider business
  • Support the NNS Programme Team in the day
  • Roll out devices to areas across the UK
  • Manage end of life process ensuring security and sustainability requirements upheld.
  • Provide end user training on an ad hoc basis.

The successful candidate will be required to evidence the following skills:

  • Experience of deploying hardware
  • Experience of troubleshooting telecom issues
  • Experience of incident resolution, requests, changes and problem solving are delivered to agreed SLAs.
