Senior Internal Communications Officer is required for a permanent role paying up to £31,358.78 with British Transport Police (BTP) based in London.

BTP is the national Police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Senior Internal Communications Officer with BTP you will be responsible for creating and delivering creative and engaging internal communications to officers and staff on changes taking place within the Force.

As Senior Internal Communications Officer you will be required to:

  • Create and deliver innovative communications strategies
  • Develop excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice at all levels of the organisation
  • Use your experience and initiative to identify communications gaps and find solutions
  • Fully understand your various audience groups and achieve the right balance, flow and targeting of messaging to ensure that effective communications

  • Experience working within large and complex organisations which have undergone a period of major change
  • Good track record of engaging others to develop and implement successful internal communications strategies
  • Content Management Systems experience, ideally SharePoint
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a marketing/comms discipline
