We are currently recruiting for an Analyst within the Analysis and Performance Team on a PERMANENT basis paying up to £28,202.23 (inclusive of London allowance) with British Transport Police (BTP) based at our Force Head Quarters, London.
  
BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As an Analyst you will be required to conduct high quality analytical work and deliver a high quality and timely analytical service in support of BTP's objectives and priorities.

As an Analyst you will be required to:

  • Provide advice to management on the most effective and efficient use of resources through techniques such as results analysis and cost benefit analysis.

  • Have Previous experience of analysing communications data, digital media investigation and open source research techniques

  • Develop analysis in conjunction with Senior and Higher Analysts and the Head of Performance and Analysis, Senior Officers, management, practitioners and external agencies. Improve information sources through liaison with external agencies. Identify system and process change requirements in respect of research and analysis

The successful Analyst will be required to evidence the following skills:

  • Investigative and intelligence-lead policing.
  • Ability to self-task and be productive under minimal supervision on occasion.
  • Previous experience of having worked as either an Analyst, Researcher or in an Intelligence Development role.
  • Experienced in using analytical software including GIS Mapping software and i2 charting software.
