Following the recent redesign of BTP’s duty management and event planning functions and creation of the Event Planning and Strategic Oversight Unit (EPSOU) we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the team.

As Force Events Officer you will report into the Force Events Lead and will be required to:

  • Provide full administrative support to the central EPSOU and Senior Command Team including data input and record management

  • Act as first point of contact for any queries relating to the unit, responding to emails and re-directing where necessary
  • Liaise with internal and external contacts where required
  • Collaborate with other colleagues to update and maintain the teams intranet page
  • Assist with the production of briefing documents
  • General procurement duties (i.e. ordering equipment)
  • Arrange or assist with internal/external debriefs following events or incidents
  • Compile annual Force event lists to help determine operational resourcing demands
  • Perform the role of Loggist in the event of a critical or major incident ensuring decision making is captured and clear audit trails exist.

The successful candidate will be required to evidence the following experience/ skills:

  • Experience in exercising diplomacy, tact and discretion in managing sensitive, personal and confidential matters and information.
  • Experience of scheduling meetings and events, preparing agendas and documentation, and taking/drafting accurate minutes.

If you are interested in applying then please submit a copy of your CV and cover letter detailing how you meet the requirements for the role as per the Job Description. Please submit this in one single document under ‘CV Upload’.

Interviews will take place w/c  5th July and will be held at our Specialist Operations HQ in Central London.

  • Salary up to £21,558.98 per annum plus £2,700.10 London Allowance
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
