Property Officer is required for an 18 month fixed term role paying Â£20,117.79 plus £2520 London Allowance with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Brewery road, London

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a Property Officer with BTP you will be responsible for all matters related to the property store including recording items booked in and out, property store audits.

As Property Officer you will be required to:

  • Log all special, found and lost property and arranging in conjunction with the Case Officer for it to be returned to the rightful owner
  • Provide advice and guidance to Police Officers in respect of the storage and disposal of property, video and audio tapes in order to provide an effective and efficient property service to the Area
  • General management of property storage and handling large amounts of cash
  • Production of exhibits for court

  • Previous experience in a high-demand administrative role
  • Excellent general office skills; word processing, computer skills etc
  • Knowledge of crime reporting lost property procedures/court procedures and continuity of evidence registers
