A Community Engagement Coordinator is required for 6 month on a Secondment, paying up to £25,707.23 pro rota with British Transport Police (BTP) based in London.
 
  BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we   ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway   staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a
Community   Engagement Coordinator you   will be required to run the Community Engagement and diversity element of the   Recruit Training Programme ensuring all Recruit Trainees and PCSO’s are   prepared for and participate in a community engagement process during their   training.

 

As a Community Engagement Coordinator you will be required to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal departments and external organisations for the purpose of planning suitable Community Engagement projects for Recruit Trainees in Phase 3 of Recruit training
  • Plan, organise and coordinate Recruit Operational Scenario Training days.
  • Manage and deliver community impact and diversity training as part of the Recruit Training Programme, through organising training in community settings and the delivery of training in the classroom.

The successful Community Engagement Coordinator will be required to evidence the following skills:

  • Good communication skills.
  • The capability to build a good understanding and relationships with the community.
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to plan and organise multiple placements.
