Technical Compliance Manager

A Technical Compliance Manager is required on a permanent basis paying up to £40,699.62 with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Birmingham/London.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a Technical Compliance Manager with BTP you will be expected to deliver a professional technical and statutory compliance support capability in respect of all property related matters, including maintenance, refurbishment, alterations and new build across all Force Areas.

As a Technical Compliance Manager you will be required to: 

• Deliver a professional technical and statutory compliance capability in respect of all property related matters, including maintenance, refurbishment, alterations and new build across all Force Areas.
• Deliver a technical support capacity to the whole department, with special responsibilities for ensuring common technical specifications, statutory compliance and application of Best Practice across all property related matters.
• Deliver technical support to the contract management of maintenance contractors and suppliers on a nationally, ensuring best value and the most efficient service is provided, that contracts are performed in accordance with agreed standards.
• Be a qualified building surveyor (or working towards qualification) with significant experience in property management.
• Force lead and SPOC within Corporate Services for building statutory compliance issues

• Experience in leading and adhering to relevant Building Statutory Legal Compliance
• Building Surveying background
• Project Management
• Experience in Property Management & CAFM systems.
