A Crime Administration Supervisor is required for a PERMANENT role paying £22,626.98 plus £2495 London Allowance with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Central London Police Station.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Crime Administration Supervisor with BTP you the post holder will ensure the provisional of professional, efficient, proactive and comprehensive administrative support across the B Division Volume and Proactive Crime Teams, supervising a team of administrators and carrying out general office duties and to facilitate the smooth running of the crime business area.

As Crime Administration Supervisor you will be required to:

• Line manage a pool of Crime Administrators including setting PDR objectives and completing appraisals, performance and attendance management, tasking and monitoring workloads, coaching and development and motivating to improve performance. Ensuring that the correct levels of administrative support are provided across the volume and proactive crime teams at all times.

• Take responsibility for ensuring that all volume and proactive crime operations have the correct levels of administrative support offered to them, carrying out tasks personally or delegating them across the administration pool.

• Resolve problems escalated from Crime Administrator for all callers, contractors and visitors, including distressed members of the public, ensuring they are dealt with promptly, efficiently and courteously. Intercept and make telephone calls on behalf of the DCI, Dis and administrative team, liaising with internal staff and external contacts at all levels, resolving issues proactively

The successful Crime Administration Supervisor will be required to evidence the following skills:

• Proven Supervisory or Managerial experience, preferably within an office environment

• Previous administrative or secretarial experience with a high level of organisational ability and attention to detail.

• Experience in exercising diplomacy, tact and discretion in managing sensitive, personal and confidential matters.
