British Transport Police (BTP) have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Business Support Manager to be based at our Specialist Operations Department in central London.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a Business Support Manager with BTP you will provide a range of essential support across the Specialist Operations portfolio, including aspects such as financial and performance analyses, project management, workforce planning and forecasting, and governance and compliance.

Initial priorities will be to:

  • Project manage the Incident Command Unit refresh and replacement from planning through to implementation
  • Support the project management and delivery of the Regional CT Hubs Project
  • Support the delivery of the Specialist Operations Efficiency Savings targets, including the identification and development of further savings
  • Manage Specialist Operations' approach to Benefits Management and Benefits Realisation

Key requirements for this role include:

  • Degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in analysis across a range of relevant disciplines
  • Sound knowledge of financial and budget management principles and practices
  • Significant project support experience, or experience in managing projects
  • Good communicator, with an ability to influence and negotiate across all levels of seniority
