An IT Resourcing Advisor is required for a 12 month fixed term role paying £31,240.81 with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Birmingham City Centre.

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As IT Resourcing Advisor with BTP, you will be responsible for the recruitment delivery of all Technology and Digital roles, attracting the highest calibre of candidates for these key business areas. This position requires occasional travel to our Force Headquarters in Camden, London.

As IT Resourcing Advisor, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, hiring managers and agency staffing partners to deliver an effective service.
  • Attraction, selection and onboarding for internal and external recruitment activity within the Technology and Digital Policing portfolios.
  • Support workforce planning activity to ensure a proactive recruitment offering.
  • Utilise direct sourcing channels to deliver a value for money recruitment service.
  • Assist with the creation of newly established positions.
  • Offer guidance and support to key stakeholders in order to ensure recruitment best practice is applied.

  • End-to-end recruitment experience, including hands-on sourcing.
  • Demonstrable experience of recruiting for skills within information technology is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of working with recruitment agency partners.
