British Transport Police (BTP) have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Incident and Problem Manager be based at our Technology Department in Camden.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Incident and Problem Manager with BTP you will be responsible for handling and responding to all technical incidents across the Force.

 

Key challenges and accountabilities for the role include:

•           Ensure Incidents and Problems are resolved as quickly as possible and do not reoccur.

•           Document root causes and implementation of remedies to prevent future incidents.

•           Embed Incident and Problem procedures to ensure the wider department adheres.

 

Key skills and experience for this role include:

•           ITIL certified

•           Extensive experience of managing Incidents and Problems in an ITIL environment, running structured processes with well-defined documentation sets.       

•           Experience of proactive Problem detection.

•           Experience of using various techniques to identify the root cause of problems such as Kepner-Tregoe, Ishikawa and Pain Value Analysis.

 

In return for your experience, we can offer you:

•           Salary up to £50,291 (£40,699.62 + 10% on call allowance + a London Allowance of £2,470 + a SFIA supplement of up to £3,053 depending on skills on experience)
