Procurement Manager is required for a permanent role paying up to £39,338.67 with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Camden, Central London. 

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Procurement Manager with BTP you will be responsible for contributing to the development of effective commercial processes and governance, reporting and insight which ensure management control and comply with the appropriate legal and regulatory requirements.

 

As Procurement Manager you will be required to:

  • Deliver on the continued development of BTP’s procurement strategy
  • Deliver a high-quality procurement service to BTP
  • Participate in the management of complex contract negotiations
  • Contribute to the analysis of organisational needs and produce innovative solutions

 

Further information about this vacancy can be found in the attached job description. The successful Procurement Manager will be required to evidence the following skills:

  • Fully-qualified Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing (MCIP)or equivalent with evidence of CPD
  • Broad experience at a senior level in a Procurement, Commercial or Contract Management function
  • Sound understanding and proven experience of the delivery of efficiency in a procurement environment
