A Financial Strategy and Analysis Manager is required for permanent roles paying up to £58,041.24 with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Camden, Central London. 


BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Financial Strategy and Analysis Manager with BTP you will be responsible for the management of the Financial Strategy and Analysis team, working closely with the Chief Officer Group and British Transport Police Authority on reporting of force-wide financial results, leading financial governance and delivering force-wide financial planning.

As Financial Strategy and Analysis Manager you will be required to:

  • Be accountable for the detailed development and reporting of a revenue budget of c£300m and a capital budget of c£15m
  • Lead and develop the detail for a 5-year financial strategy covering c£1.5bn of expenditure
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate financial information is provided to the authority to support industry billing
  • Lead on in-year reporting for the Chief Officer Group and British Transport Police Authority

 

Further information about this vacancy can be found in the attached job description. The successful Financial Strategy and Analysis Manager will be required to evidence the following skills:

  • Fully-qualified member of one of the five Consultative Committees of Accounting Bodies (CCAB), i.e. ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAI or ICAS or a European/International equivalent
  • Experience as a Senior finance partner within a finance function of a complex and/or geographically dispersed organisation
  • Demonstrable experience of building strong relationships with a wide-range of internal and external organisations, partners and stakeholders
  • Strong and extensive experience of managing staff
