An Analyst is required for a permanent role with British Transport Police Authority paying £43,626.61 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.

 
The Authority’s primary statutory purpose is to secure the maintenance of an efficient and effective police force for the railways through British Transport Police. BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day BTP ensures the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As an Analyst you will work under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer to provide analytical capability to the Authority and expert assurance of data quality and analytical advice.

 

Key activities of the Analyst include:

  • Provide detailed independent assurance and analyses of Force data
  • Develop briefings and reports to support members activities enabling effective engagement with committee and portfolio responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and attend external meetings
  • Lead on developing impactful performance information communication methods such as dashboards

 

Key requirements for the Analyst include:

  • Degree with significant analytical content or equivalent experience
  • Proven background in performance monitoring, statistical and qualitative research methods, data collection and assurance and survey design
  • Intermediate level knowledge of full MS Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
