BTP are recruiting for an Infrastructure Project Manager on an 18 month fixed term contract based at our Force Headquarters in Camden, London.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Project Manager with BTP you will deliver a range of infrastructure related projects within the Technology Department.

Key activities include:

  • The delivery of projects to ensure that the forces IT Infrastructure remains compliant with national security standards each year.. Working with technical resources to plan the upgrade, patching and decommissioning of IT infrastructure to meet national security standards.

  • The migration of infrastructure to cloud based services or data centre providers to help BTP ensure that its IT infrastructure is separated from the physical estate.

  • The implementation of core infrastructure changes to ensure that BTP’s technology performs efficiently and meets capacity demands of the force.

Key requirements include:

  • Extensive experience of planning and leading medium to large sized technology projects.
  • Experience of projects to ensure that IT infrastructure meets security requirements, and the migration of services to cloud based services and off site locations.

  • A good understanding of key infrastructure technologies.

In return for your experience, we can offer you:

  • Salary up to £42,345.10 (£37,212.10 + £2,520 London Allowance + a SFIA supplement of up to £2,613 depending on skills and experience)
