British Transport Police (BTP) have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Technical Administrator to be based at our Technology Department in Camden, London.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Technical Administrator with BTP you will work closely with suppliers, technical staff and stakeholders across the Force to support the day to day running of the Technology Department

 

Key challenges and accountabilities for the role include:

•           Manage and administer the Tech Board process, to be the first point of contact for customers within BTP when requesting technical goods and services.

•           Ensure the correct equipment is purchased and updated on the asset register whilst following the relevant procurement guidelines and legislation.

•           Manage external suppliers to ensure successful delivery of products and services required by the business.


Key requirements for this role include:

 

•           Experience working within a procurement environment, obtaining quotes for goods and services.

•           Excellent customer service skills

•           Experience of using key Microsoft products such as Word and Excel.

•           Salary up to £28,257.61 (£19,918.61 + £2,495 + a SFIA supplement of up to £5,844)
