British Transport Police (BTP) have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Enterprise Architect to be based at our Force Headquarters in Camden.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As Enterprise Architect with BTP you will lead the function which defines the IS strategy and architecture and engages with the force to enable effective exploitation of existing and emerging technology.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the way our technology supports frontline Officers and support staff.

 

Key challenges and accountabilities for the role include:

•           To build a holistic view of British Transport Police, including business processes, information gathered, technology used and strategy.

•           Ensure that the business and IT are fully aligned, now and in the future, by the logical integration and standardisation of IT infrastructure reflecting the requirements of BTP's operating model.

•           To create an 'as-is' model and 'to-be' vision that links the IT Strategy to BTP's strategic goals.  These views will provide a bridge between senior business stakeholders and senior IT professionals.

•           The Enterprise Architect will, through strategic alignment, ensure that money spent on information and communication technology is done so in a planned and organised manner.

•           Ensuring there is up to date ICT architecture that captures the current and target states.

•           Accountable for defining the Enterprise Architecture, Application and Technical Architecture roadmaps.

 

Requirement for this role include:

•           Educated to degree level in a specific IT or engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience in an equivalent role

•           TOGAF 9 Foundation

•           ITIL Foundation

•           Prince2 Foundation

•           Salary up to £79,543.57 (£55,546.24 + a London Allowance of £2,495 + a SFIA supplement of £21,493.33  depending on skills and experience)
