A Talent Officer is required on a permanent contract paying £22,853.24 plus £2,520 London Allowance with British Transport Police (BTP) based in London.



BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s railways. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a Talent Officer with BTP you will work on a national basis promoting the British Transport Police to prospective candidates, particularly from under-represented communities, by attending and presenting at careers fairs, school liaison projects, university/college events and networking events.


 


Reporting to the Career Development & Talent Management Team Leader this role will engage with multiple candidate groups to promote, inspire, raise awareness and highlight career opportunities within the British Transport Police.


 


As a Talent Officer you will be required to:


  • Responsibility to schedule and coordinate dates and resources required for numerous panels including liaising with management team, panel members and facilitators, booking necessary training rooms, panel rooms, hotals and travel required for each programme.
  • To drive the planning, preparation and delivery of the British Transport Police careers programmes, to include open days, careers fairs and network events.
  • Work in conjunction with the team resourcer to ensure the candidate experience is effective, professional and fit for purpose from event attendance through to highlighting live opportunities through to applications.

  • Ability to identify administrative delivery of the CDTM services and suggest solutions to resolve these issues.
  • Ability to communicate internally with the CDTM team and externally with External Contractors and Stakeholders.
  • Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure, dealing with colleagues or demanding deadlines whilst maintaining a flexible approach.
