Production Store Assistant is required for a Part Time (20 hours per week) Permanent Contract role paying £10,088.08 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Glasgow, Scotland

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As Production Store Assistant with BTP you will provide a professional and comprehensive operational administration support to the Scottish Area.

 

As Productions Store Assistant you will be required to:

  • Receive and store all items of property taken as evidence from offenders or recovered from scenes of crime and from fatalities, all items of stolen and recovered property including cash, drugs, firearms, bladed weapons and computer equipment.
  • Storing logically and to ensure secure storage. Provide continuity of evidence and provide for its efficient retrieval when required in line with strict Force Policy relating to property.
  • Auditing the property on the KIM Property Management System ensuring that the records are accurate and property appropriately held recording findings.

The successful Productions Store Assistant will be required to evidence the following skills:

  • Previous experience dealing with sensitive materials.
  • Be able to work under pressure, as well as on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate ability to work to tight deadlines, manage and prioritise workload.
