British Transport Police (BTP) is the national police force for Britain's rail network.  Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

British Transport Police are looking to expand our current talent bank for Communication Officers to be based in our Force Control room in London. These will be permanent positions and the salary will be £22,181.14 with a £2470 London Allowance plus 20% shift allowance.

As a Communications Officer you will provide call handling and radio dispatch for the British Transport Police and manage the police response to incidents ensuring that public and officer safety is maintained at all times.

The role will involve shift work covering 24/7 365 days a year.

No annual leave can be honored during the training period. The training will be split between Birmingham and London (hotel and travel expenses will be paid for).
