A Senior IT Project Manager is required for a 12 month fixed term contract with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Camden, London. 

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s railways. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The Senior Project Manager will deliver of the devolution of BTP’s IT estate across Scotland, ensuring all elements of business change are delivered to time, cost and quality.

Key activities include:

  • Engagement with Police Scotland to understand and define Technology Requirements
  • The development of an integrated programme plan for the transition of the appropriate technology and data from BTP to Police Scotland.
  • Co-ordination of the production of business cases to deliver the required transition activities.
  • Ensuring all technology transition projects are delivered within the agreed scope and timelines
  • Representing BTP Technology at joint programme meetings and boards.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience of delivering complex change programmes
  • Strong experience of core technologies
  • Excellent risk, issue and dependency management skills
  • Experience of delivering projects to support collaboration and/or mergers would be useful
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders across all levels

  •  Salary up to £52,943.86 (£47,233.86 + £2,520 London Allowance + a SFIA supplement of up to £3,190 depending on skills and experience)
