A RESTORATIVE JUSTICE MANAGER is required for a PERMANENT CONTRACT role paying £28,863.78 plus £2495 London Allowance with British Transport Police (BTP) based in LONDON.

BTP is the national police Force for Britain’s rail network. Every day we ensure the safety and security of over six million passengers and railway staff throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As a RESTORATIVE JUSTICE MANAGER with BTP you will responsible for the delivery of all Restorative Justice activities undertaken by British Transport Police.

Accountable for the effective management, coordination, embedding and expansion of British Transport Police’s Restorative Justice Services.

Work effectively with all Force business areas to further develop and deliver innovative, effective and high quality services to meet the needs of BTP’s victims of crime.

Provide Restorative Justice Practitioner training to officers and staff and provide supervision advice and guidance on all aspects of Restorative Justice.

Promote awareness and communicate key messages across the business to address different audience needs and meet organisational requirements in the overall management of Restorative Justice across throughout the Force.

As a RESTORATIVE JUSTICE MANAGER you will be required to:

• Act as a champion for Restorative Justice, promoting and maintaining awareness throughout the Force and provide clear direction, support and guidance to staff, officers, other departments and external partners in relation to the delivery of Restorative Justice processes.

• Ensure a focus on quality assurance, closely monitoring adherence to procedural and legislative requirements, taking prompt action to address non-compliance, highlighting to divisional leaders as appropriate.

• Allocation of suitable cases to Restorative Justice Practitioners, taking into account workloads and experience and uphold and expand BTP’s Restorative Justice referral pathways, maintain accurate records documenting referrals, case progression and outcomes to ensure compliance and to establish key performance indicators and best practice.

The successful RESTORATIVE JUSTICE MANAGER will be required to evidence the following skills:

• Practical experience of delivering Restorative Justice interventions and delivering Restorative Justice Practitioner training and mentoring

• Experience of maintaining effective systems in support of case management, resource management, quality and performance targets

• Experience of exercising discretion when working with sensitive information
