Station Support Officer- Stockwell
A Station Support Officer is required for a Full Time, Permanent role paying up to £26,098.99 plus £3,033.56 London Allowance per annum, with the British Transport Police (BTP). The role will be based at Stockwell. The role offers a blended working approach.

As Station Support Officer with BTP you will provide professional, efficient, proactive and comprehensive administrative support and works in conjunction with the Officer in Charge (OIC) undertaking a range of duties required to support station and organisational needs.
As Station Support Officer you will be required to:
- Provide support to OIC to assist with station engagement and collating information when required.
- Provide support to the OIC and other managers to ensure that information is stored, accessed and shared in line with Information Management policy
- Monitor Station supplies, placing orders and monitor progress of orders and purchases
- Carry out monthly vehicle mileage and log book checks. Arrange vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Carry out regular building checks and report to the facilities management provider, escalating when necessary.
- Carry out Health and Safety checks in line with guidance

- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent standard of planning and organisational ability
- Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure, dealing with members of the public or to demanding deadlines, whilst maintaining a flexible approach
- Previous administrative experience with demonstrable organisational ability and attention to detail

BTP has undertaken a review of Police Staff pensions and as a result of this the Police Staff pension will be changing. The current police staff pension is a Defined Benefit scheme which is administered by the Railways Pension scheme. This is applicable to new starters who join before the 1st of October 2023. The new pension scheme which is launching is a Defined Contribution scheme which is administered by Royal London. The new pension scheme has been approved with an expected introductory date of 1st October 2023.- Therefore, any new starters that join on the 1st of October and after will be inducted onto the new defined contribution pension scheme.
